The Board has a one-year term and is elected at the annual meeting in February. The Board consists of 7 members.
The Chairperson has overall responsibility for Vätan's operations and leads the management of the association's activities. The Chairperson plans and coordinates activities, as well as leads and distributes work. Furthermore, it is the Chairperson's responsibility to be in charge of the content of invitations to meetings and events, and to ensure that documents are provided to members before meetings.
The Vice Chairperson oversees the association's finances and is responsible for the management of the association's financial resources in consultation with the treasurer. The Vice Chairperson temporarily takes over the Chairperson's duties in the Chairperson's absence.
The Secretary is responsible for preparing meeting minutes and attendance lists. Furthermore, the Secretary is responsible for continuously adjusting and archiving minutes. The Secretary is responsible for the digital cataloging.
The Treasurer should keep up to date with the association's financial situation. This includes payments, tax administration, and other financial administration. Together with the Vice Chairperson, the Treasurer should prepare the annual report. Furthermore, the Treasurer is responsible for creating budget proposals for the upcoming year.
